EPSI began operating in the country upon establishment of its Jakarta office in 2006. The population of about 250 million makes Indonesia the fourth most populous country in the world. It is also ethnically diverse. The country features excellent compliance to Good Clinical Practice standards in all clinical trials. A large pool of potential research participants and low cost of research provide opportunities to accelerate recruitment and trial times, making Indonesia a very attractive location for clinical trials.
